Do you wish you were more creative?
Many people don't think that they're creative, and others have a sense that they might be, but can't quite seem to tap into it. The truth is that we're all creative, but fear holds us back. We're afraid that what we create will not be good enough, or that we'll be judged... And then there are the other things that thwart our creativity: tv, the laundry, the internet, kids... all of those everyday distractions.
Whether you are a blocked artist, an artist who wants to take your creativity to the next level, or someone who just wishes they could be more creative, this class is for you.
The Artist's Way is a powerful program that can remove obstacles that block your creative energy.
What you will get from this course:
Support - Going through the book with a group offers support and accountability that you can't get going it alone.
New thought - Group discussions lead to fresh new thoughts and ideas that you probably would not have gotten to on your own.
Understanding - Talking about your trials makes you realize that you're not alone.
Print-outs - Each week you get an email with a printable PDF which has the week's exercises, and other goodies
Creativity Exercises -Although this is mainly a discussion group, we do reserve a chunk of time each class to play and flex our creative muscles! These exercises can range from drawing silly pictures, to blackout poetry, writing silly stories, haikus, expressive painting, collage... the list goes on! All art supplies are included in the registration fee, and NO artistic talent or experience is required!
This does require a commitment of time and energy - and it is worth it. You will need to carve out at least 30 minutes a day - and an additional 30-60 minutes once or twice a week. So we're looking at 5-6 hours a week in addition to the Sunday classes.
If you don't have any art supplies and need help picking some out, please email me, and I'll send you a more specific list with links.
"Thank you for offering this class and making it a lot of fun!" - Pam N.
Join me for a new twist on my popular Artist's Way class! We'll keep a visual art journal of our journey through the Artist's Way, using paint, pencils, markers, crayons and collage techniques.

We'll use Julie Cameron's book "The Artist's Way" as a foundation, and add art journaling and creative exercises using my experience as an artist and an art coach to help you discover and recover your creative self.
"This class helped me to begin writing; great discussions and great teacher; safe space for sharing thoughts and work." - Aisha C.
This course requires a commitment of time and energy. Facing your creative blocks is a brave thing to do. It can be a challenging class at times, and every once in awhile someone wants to drop out. We get it. But we want you to see this course through, and so we have a strict no refund policy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I miss classes?
Yes, of course! Life is busy, and things come up. If you have to miss a class or two, I just ask that you read the chapter and do the homework.
Is this an art class?
Yes and no. We do art in the class, but it's not an instructional class. You will receive guidance and prompts for your art journal exercises, but no formal instruction.
I've never painted, can I still join?
Sure! You don't need any experience painting, but you do need to be open-minded about exploring your art supplies. Email me after signing up if you're nervous about the painting part, and I can send you some instructional videos. Or sign up for a Freestyle Session to get a jump-start.
