This class - and all other in-person classes - has been canceled in an effort to limit public gatherings due to the coronavirus.
When things return to normal again, it will be back on the schedule. If you'd like to be informed when registrations open, please return to the home page, and join our mailing list. If you'd like to paint along with Tabetha from the comfort of your home, check the calendar for upcoming online classes! New Moon Meditative Painting
Get out of your head and get in touch with your creative, intuitive side. Art is an act of the soul, not the intellect. Meditation gets you out of that left (analytical) brain, and helps clear the muck to make way for the creativity. Painting itself can be a moving meditation, and when you sit down to meditate before you paint, you can really get into a state of flow. You tap into something bigger than you, and the energy flows through you, out of the paint brush, and onto the canvas. This class is about losing yourself in the moment, and reconnecting with yourself. Our goal is not to have you leave with a pretty picture; but to have you leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
![]() Tabetha Landt has been painting for since 1996, and helping people express themselves on canvas since 2010.
She is self-taught, and believes that everyone is creative. "My personal mission is to inspire and awaken possibilities in others. I do this not only through creating art, but also by helping people get in touch with their creative selves, and helping them live more authentic lives. I believe I'm doing exactly what I am here to do. |
What to ExpectDoors open a half hour early. Help yourself to some tea or water when you arrive. Sit down, relax, and we will start introductions and set some intentions.
Tabetha will talk about intuitive painting and give you some tips on getting the most from your experience. Sitira will lead us through a guided meditation to help clear our minds. Then you quietly choose whatever paint colors call to you, and we paint! Tabetha will paint a vortex at the front of the studio while Sitira walks around playing her singing bowls, clearing energy blocks. (Let us know ahead of time if you want her to skip over you.) You can bliss out and follow Tabetha in a Vortex painting, or let the paint flow through you intuitively. In either case, the idea is not necessarily to get a pretty picture, but to experience the act of creativity. To experience flow. We will close the class with reflections on our experience, light snacks, and tea. |
